problem / solution
university endowment fund needed money managed. asked a select group of students to manage it; students have grown the fund from $1m to $85m in aum.
what i did
one of three senior portfolio managers, leading 12 analysts on a $10m healthcare book inside the largest student-managed endowment in the country. rebuilt how the coverage team operated by redesigning the pitch process, restructuring research around probabilistic margin-of-safety analysis and specialized vertical coverage, and coaching analysts through valuation — the process changes outlasted my tenure. won approval for 6 investments across 5 verticals before an investment committee that required a two-thirds vote.
